According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, members of the Lake Lanier Association met with Gwinnett County Commissioner John Heard and state Reps. Josh Clark of Buford, and Valerie Clark of Lawrenceville.
Ideas discussed included mandatory headlights for boats, additional no-wake zones and speed limits in certain areas. Also discussed was lowering the blood alcohol limit for a boating under the influence charge.
On June 18, 13-year-old Griffin Prince and his 9-year-old brother Jake died in a fatal boating collision allegedly caused by someone boating under the influence.
