Officials with the National Weather Service said it's the result of temperatures between 103 and 108 with dew points dropping into the mid 50s to lower 60s and relative humidity expected to fall below 25 percent.
They said the hot, dry air will combine with dry brush and other fuels to heighten the fire danger.
The special weather statement lasts between mid afternoon Saturday into Saturday evening.
