Demorest readies for Glorious Fourth of July

DEMOREST - Preparations are well under way for the 120th celebration of the nation's independence in the City of Demorest. The city is home of the state's longest-running parade and festival.

Vendor and parade applications are available at the Demorest City Hall or by telephone to 706.778-4202.

Students and girl scouts recently began painting the city's fire hydrants in patriotic themes and more hydrants will be painted throughout the city.
