Golf: Three Red Elephants named All-State

Gainesville's boys golf team capped a state championship 2012 season this week by learning that three Red Elephants players were named All-State.

Gainesville's Parks Brown -- who recorded a low round, 4-under, 68 at the Class AAA championship tournament -- was named the Class AAA Player of the Year.

Meanwhile, Red Elephants standouts Pep Brown and Jackson Bishop were also named All-State.

The remaining members of the Class AAA All-State team are:

Tye Waller (Spalding)
Greyson Sigg (Richmond Academy)
Garrett Bernhardt (St. Pius X)
Charlie Flowers (Columbus)
Nick Fazio (Carrollton)
Eli Crumley (White County)
Carson Willis (Spalding)

Westside-Augusta's Davis Parker and St. Pius X's Christopher Harris were also honorable mentions.
