Golf: Gainesville's Browns named to All-Star team

Gainesville High seniors Parks and Carson Brown were both just named to the Georgia High School Golf Coaches' Association's Senior All-Star Team. Both will represent the North Team in a three-day match play format tournament.

Coaches for the North Team are Peter Vjada (Milton) and Phil Cook (St. Pius X). Gainesville coach Bryson Worley was the North Team coach in 2009, which was the inaugural Senior All-Star Tournament.

Former Gainesville High School players to be named to the team are Justin Cochran and Jake Martin, both in 2009. North Hall's Derek Watson was also a member of the '09 team.
