Baseball: Johnson finishes season with 8-4 loss at Walnut Grove

LOGANVILLE -- The Johnson baseball team closed out its regular season with a 8-4 loss to Walnut Grove on Monday in Loganville.

The Knights (11-12, 8-10 Region 8-AAA) took 3-0 lead in the top of the first, but Walnut Grove tied the game in the third and pulled ahead with a four-run fourth inning.

A.J. Benefield paced the Knights, crushing a home run to finish with two hits and two RBIs. Jordan Green also went 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Brandon Adams also drove in a run. Adam White also finished 2-for-3, and Chris White and Trae Wilson also had hits.

The Knights' season is complete.
