SUWANEE - City of Suwanee officials are starting to work on the budget for fiscal year 2013, and they want some input from the public.

Instead of asking residents to come to public meetings, city officials are offering Suwanee residents and taxpayers the chance to submit comments and suggestions online.

"We want to implement a mechanism that allows citizens to offer input on the upcoming budget earlier in the planning process," says City Manager Marty Allen. "We want to ensure that citizens' concerns, ideas, and priorities are considered through this process."

Comments will be taken online at [email protected] through April 23.

The budget for fiscal year 2013, which begins July 1, is expected to be adopted at the June 26 city council meeting.
