GAINESVILLE - Only a couple of hiccups is how Hall County elections officials described a relatively uneventful primary day for them Tuesday.

Just under 29 percent of registered voters cast ballots in Hall County Super Tuesday, compared to 44 percent in 2008.

"I think the turnout was not as active as I thought it should have been, but other than that, it turned out to be a good day, Hall County Election Director Charlotte Sosebee said.

"It turned out to be a good day, considering our office staff was out of the office by 10:30," Sosebee added.

Turnout in Hall County had been steady during the middle part of the day, with hopes at that pace that turnout would have reached 42 percent.
