DEMOREST - The Board of Trustees for Piedmont College in Demorest is looking for a new president after terminating the contract of Dr. Danny Hollingsworth Tuesday.

In a letter issued by Board Chairman Gus Arrendale, board members thanked Hollingsworth for his service, but gave no reason for the early termination of his contract. He had been at the helm of the college for only nine months.

While the board begins the search for a new president, Provost Dr. James Mellichamp will serve as interim president for Piedmont.
