AARP spokesman Ed Van Herik said it's now called the SNAP program.
"Nearly two/thirds of eligible older Georgians do not get SNAP or food stamp assistance. The AARP Foundation is working to sign these folks up," Van Herik said.
The application drive continues Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Blackshear Place Library in Hall County.
It continues on the 25th at the Cumming Library from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
