Cumming has new police chief

Posted 9:36AM on Tuesday 14th February 2012 ( 12 years ago )
CUMMING - Cumming's new police chief is a 15 year veteran of the force. Casey Tatum replaced Chief Scott Burgess who stepped down Monday for health reasons.

"He is still employed with the city of Cumming. He is in community relations and has an office in city hall now," Tatum said.

Tatum had served as assistant chief and said the announcement came as a little of a surprise. He said he doesn't plan any big changes.

"We have a professional group of people already installed here, and I don't foresee a lot of changes to take place."
