Gwinnett County Police Wednesday said it was a Duluth man who lost his life in a single-vehicle traffic accident on Christmas Day.

According to Gwinnett County Police Corporal Jake Smith, 23 year old Nenad Lunic lost control of his 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV on Simpson Circle near Centennial Trail in the Norcross area.

"His vehicle actually left the side of the road and struck a landscaping wall. The vehicle went airborne after striking the wall, and it actually struck a tree after that with the driver's side door and the roof," Smith said.

Smith said it happened around 4:15 p.m. It marked the fourth traffic-related death in north Georgia over the Christmas holiday travel period.

"Listed as contributing factors here in the report are too fast for conditions and weather conditions. It seems probably like speed and possibly rain were factors in this," Smith said.

Lunic was traveling alone, according to police.
