WSB-TV reports Mike Massey, of North Forsyth High School, formed a company - Pro-Tech Armor - and has developed the Halo-One Impact Detection device, which instantly measures the impact of a blow to the head or neck.
Upon impact, a row of lights connected to sensors on a helmet or headband will become illuminated as a warning sign of a blow hard enough to cause a concussion.
Massey hopes to be able to market the product for $70 a unit and says it can be used to non-athletic purposes as well.
