Boys basketball: Dawson County shuts down West Forsyth

DAWSONVILLE -- The Dawson County boys basketball team made short work of West Forsyth on Thursday night, winning 44-29 in Dawsonville.

The Tigers (10-0) pulled away from an 8-5 led after the first quarter, holding West Forsyth to single digit scoring in three of four quarters.

Tyler Dominy scored 13 and pulled down his 500th rebound during the night for Dawson County, while Gunnar Armstrong and Lucas Pain each added nine points.

Nick Staiti led West Forsyth with 13 points.

Dawson County will play again on Dec. 27 in the Battle of States tournament in Towns County.
