May You Have A Very Merry Christmas

May I suggest this is the Christmas season, not just another holiday? I don't recall people insisting we say Happy Holidays instead of Have a Happy Thanksgiving. And we are not going to insist we say Happy Holiday on January 1, instead of Happy New Year. So why are we insisting on saying Happy Holiday
