GAINESVILLE - LeadingAge Georgia awarded Lanier Village Estates' resident Sam Naff with a Positive Aging recognition certificate at the second annual Changing Lives Benefit recently.

The theme, Profiles of Positive Aging, honored seniors who exemplify a positive aging lifestyle while continuing to share their talents across Georgia. All proceeds were donated to the Georgia Institute on Aging, the educational arm of LeadingAge Georgia.

The 94-year-old Naff moved into Lanier Village Estates in 2003 and, despite the recent loss of his wife, continues to thrive by exuding endless "positivity, hospitality, wisdom and guidance." He volunteers as a marketing liaison and has toured hundreds of prospective residents around the campus.

He is constantly offering ways to improve the programs and operations for his neighbors. Naff is also active in the spiritual enrichment programs at Lanier Village.
