Woman suffers serious injuries in Cleveland Hwy. wreck

GAINESVILLE - A woman suffered serious injuries in a Hall County traffic accident that blocked Cleveland Highway for a time around noon Tuesday.

According to Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell, it happened at the intersection of Honeysuckle Road around 11:30 a.m.

"It appeared to be a t-bone type accident where one vehicle had been struck in the driver door. Another vehicle struck it from the front," Kimbrell said.

Kimbrell said a woman was flown to Grady Hospital in Atlanta. Although serious, her injuries didn't appear life-threatening, according to Kimbrell.

A driver in the second vehicle was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, also with non life-threatening injuries.
