Between Nov. 23-25, Free Chapel's His Harvest House, a Gainesville food bank ministry, was spotlighted and non-perishables were collected from people visiting the lakeside resort.
This past Saturday, it was the lighting of the Edmondson-Telford Angel Tree. The Edmondson-Telford Center (ETC) for Children is a non-profit agency in Gainesville that is dedicated to providing hope to victims of child abuse. Donations were collected at the tree lighting and will go toward providing forensic examination services and support to victims of child abuse in Hall and Dawson counties. Donations can also be made by calling the Center at 770-534-5151, by printing out a form from the Center's website and mailing the donation, or by making a secure online donation at www.etcenterforchildren.org.
Now through Monday, December 31, with each Magical Nights coupon turned in at the Lake Lanier Islands' front gate, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to one of the charities supported by the Resort's corporate partners. $10 off coupons are available at participating area Publix grocery stores, McDonalds restaurants, QuikTrip convenience stores, Chick-Fil-A restaurants, Lenny's Sub Shop locations, and Audi Gwinnett.
