Boys basketball: Elephants fall to Apalachee

GAINESVILLE -- The Gainesville boys fell to 0-2 on the young season after an 81-65 loss to Apalachee Tuesday night.

The Red Elephants are playing without several key players who are still playing football.

Shaquan Cantrell paced Gainesville with 28 points. Luke Moore added 14 points and Reed Tipton 12 points for the Elephants.

Kamor Baldwin led Apalachee (3-2) with 23 points. Austin Miller had 12 points for the Wildcats.

Gainesville next will play host to Winder-Barrow on Friday.
