Allen Payne Long, 76, of Gainesville died Sunday.
Long initially retired from Wachovia Bank as Sr. Vice President and Sr. Trust Officer and then began his second career at Fidelity National Bank as Vice President in Trust and Investment Services.
Long was a member of several service clubs and organizations including the Rotary Clubs of Buckhead and Gainesville; Brenau University Board of Advisors; and Atlanta Historical Society. He was a member of the Gainesville First United Methodist Church.
The memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gainesville First United Methodist Church. Graveside services and interment will be held at noon Saturday, December 8, at Decatur City Cemetery.
