Girls basketball: Lady Falcons get defensive in win over East Hall

FLOWERY BRANCH -- The Flowery Branch girls basketball team improved to 3-0 on the season after beating East Hall 66-40 Saturday night at home.

The Lady Falcons got 20 points from Marissa Ivey and 19 points from Tavia Sykes in the come-from-behind win.

Flowery Branch trailed 22-17 after the first quarter but cut the lead to 34-33 by halftime. The Lady Falcons dominated East Hall in the second half.

The Flowery Branch defense held East Hall to just six second half points, and just one free throw in the fourth quarter to pull away in the final 16 minutes.

Breanna Locke added 13 points and Jasmine Thornton had eight for the Lady Falcons.
