N. Ga. communities celebrate the season with parades

UNDATED - The first Saturday in December appears to be the most popular day of the season to host a Christmas parade, judging by community calendars all over North Georgia.

Among the parades AccessNorthGa.com has found:

*The Lilburn Christmas Parade at 10:00 a.m.
*The Historic Buford Holiday Parade at 11:00 a.m.
*Helen Christmas Parade 2:00 p.m.
*Cumming Christmas Parade 3:30-4:30 p.m.
*Habersham County Christmas Parade in Cornelia 4:00 p.m.
*Dahlonega Old Fashioned Christmas Parade 4:30 p.m.
*Clayton Christmas Parade 5:00 p.m.
*Christmas in the Mountains Lighted Parade in Cleveland 7:00 p.m.


There may be other Christmas parades taking place December 1. These are the events community leaders have publicized to us.
