Christmas on Green St., Rotary tree lighting Dec. 2

GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville Rotary Christmas Tree Lighting will be held Sunday, December 2 beginning at 6:30, an annual part of Christmas on Green Street.

The GHS Crimson Chorus will perform a couple of songs under the direction of Julia Hamilton. All former presidents of Gainesville Rotary and their spouses will be recognized, and refreshments will be served, thanks to The Salvation Army and the Independence Bank.

Christmas on Green Street will take place from 5:00-7:00 and will include a vintage car procession and a walking tour of the historic thoroughfare.

Several of the historic homes along Greet Street from the civic center to the intersection with E.E. Butler Parkway will be open.
