HOSCHTON -- Jacorey Lewis made his way into some heady company on Friday, but chances are he could care less.

Lewis rushed for 252 yards and three touchdowns, becoming just the seventh back in Gwinnett County history to rush for over 2,00 yards in a season, but the biggest accomplishment came in seeing his Hawks throttle Brookwood 56-21 in Hoschton.

Mill Creek (9-3) moved into the state quarterfinals for the second time in school history, where the Hawks will travel to face North Cobb next Friday.

After trading scores with the Broncos (7-5) on Friday, Mill Creek broke loose to put the game out of reach. The Hawks took advantage of four Brookwood turnovers to do so, scoring 28 points off the takeaways.

Mill Creek's Davozea also rushed for 78 yards and a score, while quarterback Daniel David rushed for 49 yards and three scores and also threw for 107 yards and a touchdown. Michael Cheeks hauled in three passes for 85 yards and a score.

The Hawks finished with 493 total yards -- including Lewis' rushing, which puts him at 2,155 for the season, just 131 yards behind Heisman Trophy winner George Rogers.
