Girls basketball: Lumpkin bounces back in tourney

BLAIRSVILLE -- The Lumpkin County girls basketball team evened its season record at 1-1, with a 37-25 win over Andrews, N.C., on Tuesday in the second round of the Glenda Gooch Foundation Tip-Off Tournament in Blairsville.

Sophomore post Lacey Robinson led all scores with 16 points while adding 9 rebounds. Point guard Morgan Wood added 10 points, while wing Dakota Sullens had a tremendous all-around game with eight points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, and five steals.

Wood and Sullens both made the All-Tournament Team.

The Lady Indians play again next Tuesday, as they host Dawson County.
