BLAIRSVILLE -- The Hiawassee Dam girls basketball team outscored Lumpkin County 22-14 in the fourth quarter to take a 54-46 win in the 1st round of the Glenda Gooch Foundation Tip-Off Tournament on Monday in Blairsville.
Morgan Wood led the Lady Indians with 17 points with Dakota Sullens adding 12.
Tori Golden led the Lady Eagles with 18 points, with Alex Lovingood adding 12, including 10 in the crucial fourth quarter.
The Lady Indians play again at 4 p.m. Tuesday against Andrews, N.C., in second round play.
