According to CBS Atlanta the body found in the first barrel is that Andrea Kellie Mitchell, 37, of Anderson. Mitchell was identified through fingerprints according to the report.
And the man found in the second barrel has been identified as Tony McGinnis, 53,of Starr.
The report said that deputies described McGinnis as a vagrant, and that he was reported missing in September. McGinnis' body had been dismembered.
Investigators attribute the dropping water level of the Georgia-South Carolina reservoir as enabling them to discover the barrels.
The investigation into the two deaths, both considered homicides by authorities, is ongoing.
