Warrants issued for three following GHS altercation

GAINESVILLE - Details remained sketchy Thursday afternoon, but Gainesville Police had issued warrants for three people in connection with an incident at Gainesville High School Wednesday.

According to Gainesville School System Superintendent Merrianne Dyer, the mother and two sisters of a GHS student came to campus before school let out Wednesday.

They allegedly confronted another student and engaged in what Dyer termed as an altercation.

School officials referred other comment to Gainesville Police.

In a press release, Dyer said the altercation followed an argument between the two students.
