GAINESVILLE - More than the 8AAAAA region high school football championship will be on the line Friday night when Gainesville and Flowery Branch square off.

Four public officials have friendly wagers on the outcome of the game, which will be played at Flowery Branch.

Gainesville Mayor Danny Dunagan has agreed to wear a Flowery Branch Falcons sweatshirt to the next Gainesville City Council meeting if the Falcons win and Flowery Branch Mayor Mike Miller has agreed to wear a Gainesville Red Elephants sweatshirt to the next Flowery Branch council meeting should Gainesville prevail.

Meanwhile, Hall County Commissioners Craig Lutz and Ashley Bell have a similar wager. Lutz represents the Flowery Branch area on the commission and Bell, the Gainesville area.
