GAINESVILLE - As a surrogate for the Mitt Romney campaign, Hall County Commissioner Ashley Bell will have a chance to watch election returns from a new vantage point Tuesday night.

Bell will be at Romney Headquarters at the Boston Convention Center, watching election returns with thousands of other GOP supporters.

Bell said he plans to vote in Hall County early Tuesday morning and then jump on a plane.

"It's a sweet irony for me," said Bell. "I haven't been to the Boston Convention Center since I spoke at the Boston Convention Center at the Democratic Convention in '04. Same place, completely different occasion."

Bell switched parties in December 2010.

As far as a prediction for Tuesday, Bell said he thinks it will come down to the wire.

"It's going to be close. I think we'll all be waiting on Colorado to come in," he said.

Bell said he will also be acting as a special correspondent for CBS Radio on Election Night.
