GAINESVILLE - The Hall County Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Initiative is sponsoring a Stewards of Children training Thursday, November 8 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at Westminster Church on Thompson Bridge Road.

The Stewards of Children training teaches adults how to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The training is part of the Hall County Initiative, a collaborative effort among 30 agencies and churches across Hall County to train 5% of the adult population in Stewards of Children (7,000 adults) over the next 5 years.

The training qualifies for Continuing Education Units for Licensed Social Workers.

The cost of the training is $15. Checks can be made out to Adults Protecting Children, Inc. Participants are asked to register prior to the training, if possible, by going to www.preventnow.org or calling 770-789-3879.

Another training will be offered on Dec. 11th from 1pm to 4pm at The Little House, 603 Washington St. in Gainesville.
