Defenseman Dallas Jackson scored the first goal of the game for the Gladiators 7:20 into the first period. Kyle Lawson and Casey Pierro-Zabotel set up the play for Jackson to fire a shot from the slot right past South Carolina goaltender Shawn Hunwick.
Lawson scored the second goal for the Gladiators after they won a faceoff on the right wing side of the Stingrays zone. Rylan Galiardi passed Lawson the puck as he took a slap shot to score the goal at 12:06 of the first. Tyler Murovich also got an assist on the goal.
Evan Bloodoff scored only 3:25 later in the first for the Gladiators giving Gwinnett a 3-0 lead. Bloodoff shot the puck through traffic after he got a quick pass from Pierro-Zabotel. Corey Fienhage also got an assist on the goal.
Hunter Bishop put the Stingrays on the board 3-1 with his third goal of the season. Despite the traffic in front of the net, Bishop slid the puck Gwinnett netminder Ryan Zapolski 8:16 into the second. Dallas Jackson tried to deflect the puck away as he threw himself across the crease of the goal.
Bishop scored his second goal of the game as he shot the puck right past Gwinnett's goaltender Zapolski. The goal was made on a power play 19:11 into the second and stood as the last goal of the game.
The Gladiators went 1-for-2 on the power play while Zapolski posted 16 saves for his second win of the season.
Gwinnett will spend the next four games on the road in Florida and will face the Orlando Solar Bears and the Florida Everblades. Gwinnett is at Orlando on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The Gladiators next home game will be November 17th @7:05 p.m. against the Greenville Road Warriors.
