The fire was reported shortly before 2 o'clock.
It happened in an area near the swimming pool, according to interim fire chief Jerome Yarborough.
About 3000 square feet of underbrush were consumed by the blaze as well as a hedgerow.
Cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation. No structures were damaged by the fire.
