Gladiators goaltender Mike Lee has been named the ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Oct. 22-28.

Lee posted a 2-1-0-0 record as he helped the Gladiators move into first place in the ECHL's South Division by week's end. Over that span, he notched a 1.00 goals against average and a .955 save percentage in three games.

The rookie out of St. Cloud State posted 17 saves in a 3-0 win over Evansville on Wednesday for his first professional shutout. Lee followed that up with an 18 save performance in a 4-2 win over Fort Wayne on Friday night. He stopped 29 of 30 shots in a 1-0 loss at Fort Wayne on Saturday.

Assigned to the Gladiators by Phoenix of the NHL, Lee was drafted by the Coyotes in the 3rd round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft with the 91st overall pick.

In six games this season with Gwinnett, Lee has earned a 2.17 goals against average and a .918 save percentage.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
