I-85 lanes back open in Jackson County

JEFFERSON - Authorities in Jackson County said all lanes of Interstate 85 northbound near the Jefferson exit re-opened to traffic around 3:45 p.m.

Lanes were closed before 3: 30 p.m. after a minor accident occurred between two vehicles. Dispatchers also reported a rig carrying PVC pipe was involved in a separate incident and lost most of the pipe on the highway.

There were no reports of injuries.
