Gainesville lunch hour traffic snarls

UNDATED - Motorists reported a tree down on Jim Hood Road, in Hall County Monday afternoon; in addition, a stalled tractor trailer reportedly blocked lanes of Green Street near the U.S. Post Office for a time.<br /> <br /> The tree was blocking both lanes of the roadway near Mount Vernon Elementary School, causing traffic delays in the area.<br /> <br /> Gainesville authorities did not have information on how much of Green Street was blocked by the big rig.<br /> <br /> Hall County emergency officials had neither incident still working in their response system as of 1:50 p.m.
