Randolph at last report was in the Hall County Jail on a $28,000 bond, charged with deposit account fraud, theft of services and forgery in the fourth degree. The charges stem from a case brought by Oakwood police.
ABA CEO Joe Newman said that as soon as he heard Randolph had turned himself in to authorities, he notified Randolph that he was suspended from the league.
In a statement, Newman said that Randolph posted comments on his Facebook page, indicating the league supports the coach.
"Totally untrue. We do not," wrote Newman.
Newman said that in light of the team's current situation, the league has waived its fees for the year and that players and other coaches for the Gainesville Heat are working with the semi-professional league to continue play.
Randolph said Wednesday the charges against him are unfounded. He is being represented by Gainesville attorney Dan Parr.
