Lewis' record night paces Mill Creek over Duluth

DULUTH -- Jacorey Lewis set two school records to help Mill Creek whip Duluth 56-21 on Friday night in Duluth.

The Hawks' running back set school records by rushing for 302 yards and six touchdowns in the victory, carrying 26 times in the process.

Mill Creek (5-3, 4-2 Region 7-AAAAAA) rolled up 486 yards in the win, including 93 yards rushing from Devozea Felton and 72 yards rushing and a score from quarterback Daniel David.

Meanwhile, Keanu James had an interception and defensive lineman Kelsey Griffin dominated, recording three sacks, one tackle for loss, a pass break-up and an interception that he returned 58 yards for a score.

Mill Creek will take a bye next week before traveling to face Habersham Central on Nov. 2.
