Cory Demitri Atkins, 37, of Murrayville, was spotted by Hall County deputies driving his Chevrolet Tahoe on Price Road near Dudley Hill Road.
The deputies attempted a traffic stop on Bark Camp Road, but Atkins refused to stop and continued onto Thompson Bridge Road, traveling north into Lumpkin County.
Atkins eventually stopped voluntarily at a gas station just before reaching Georgia 400.
There he was taken into custody without further incident.
According to Hall County authorities Atkins' attempt to elude deputies reached speeds of 65 miles per hour.
Atkins had been sought on two outstanding arrest warrants for probation violation.
Atkins was on probation for possession of marijuana and obstruction of officers.
No accidents occurred and no one was injured during the incident.
Spokesman Sargeant Stephen Wilbanks said that additional information had been recently obtained stating that Atkins was armed and behaving erratically.
Atkins was booked into the Hall County Jail on the two outstanding warrants, as well as an additional six traffic violations.
