Cabbage Patch Kids helping build young voter awareness

MALIBU, Calif. - President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney and Vice Presidential Candidate Paul Ryan are recreated as Cabbage Patch Kids that will be auctioned on eBay starting Tuesday, October 30.

All proceeds of the auction will go towards "engaging and mobilizing political power for young people" and will benefit Rock the Vote, a non-partisan, non-profit organization. The Presidential Kids were created by leading toy company JAKKS Pacific, Inc. and are designed "to raise awareness of this year's election with the young voter audience"

The Presidential Kids will be available for bidding on eBay Giving Works starting from Oct. 30-Nov. 6, at cpkauctionforcharity.com.

"The current generation of young voters grew up with Cabbage Patch Kids - it's an iconic and beloved brand that's a big part of pop culture," said Jennifer Caveza, Senior Vice President of Marketing, JAKKS Pacific. "We are pleased to work together with Rock the Vote and do what we can to empower today's young adults and encourage them to be involved in our country's electoral process."
