GAINESVILLE - An Atlanta man has been jailed in connection with a number of burglaries in Atlanta and north Georgia, including two in Gainesville.

Gainesville Police Cpl. Kevin Holbrook identified the suspect as Samuel Leon Mosley, 60.

Holbrook said Mosley is believed to be responsible for the burglaries of the Pueblos and Kiku restaurants on Dawsonville Highway. The burglaries took place on separate days in September, according to Holbrook.

"Mr. Mosley was able to obtain a small amount of cash and electronics," said Holbrook.

Investigators had video and still photographs of the suspect committing the crimes, according to Holbrook, but they did not know who he was until Atlanta news stations ran video of the suspect committing similar crimes in and around Atlanta. He said investigators were then able to work with other law enforcement agencies and the public to identify Mosley as the suspect.

Mosley has been charged with two counts of burglary in the 2nd degree and one count of criminal damage to property in the 2nd degree.

Mosley is currently being held in the Fulton County Jail, according to Holbrook.
