Former WDUN overnight news editor, producer dies

GAINESVILLE - A former overnight producer and news anchor at WDUN has died.

Lee Howington of Flowery Branch died Monday at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Howington, 56, was a lifelong resident of Hall County. He served as an overnight producer and news anchor, primarily on weekends, at WDUN for a number of years. Most recently, he worked as an announcer at WCON in Cornelia.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 Friday at Little-Davenport Funeral Home.
