CUMMING - A renowned Alpharetta horse trainer has been arrested in Forsyth County for driving naked while smoking methamphetamine.

Forsyth County Sheriff's deputies arrested 46-year-old Kenneth Acebal June 8 after finding pornographic magazines and a pipe with meth residue in his car.

His close friend Ann Clements told Channel 2 Action News that Acebal was once on the short list to compete in the Olympics.

"He enjoys the respect and admiration of trainers and riders and owners of horses at the highest level of the equestrian competitive game," she said.

Clements said the June 8th arrest was a result of stress from an earlier arrest on child molestation charges.

"The stress that he has been under has, I think, led to this second arrest, which was literally his first time ever to have a drug charge of any kind," she said.

Clements said Acebal believed he was meeting an adult, not a child, when he drove to Ringgold to meet someone he chatted with online in April. Authorities said he was actually chatting with an undercover officer and was arrested in Catoosa County.
