Posted 10:38AM on Friday 25th November 2011 ( 12 years ago )
Occasionally someone has such energy and life that their presence profoundly influences and changes the world. This uncommon leadership barely scratches the surface of John W. Jacobs, Jr., who passed away November 23rd, 2011. He was a one-of-a-kind innovator, a leader's leader rich with ideas, a big fan of change, a family man who loved his family more every day, a decorated WWII veteran, a joiner, friend of education on all levels and a true people person. People from all walks of life have called AccessNorthGa.com and WDUN to mention Mr. Jacobs' positive influence on their lives.

"Do it. Do it right. Do it right now." I don't know if Mr. Jacobs made that axiom up or not, but no one will ever make the words mean more. He successfully took WDUN radio from post WWII into the millennium
