Robbery victim fights back

GAINESVILLE - A patron at the Burger King restaurant on Thompson Bridge Road at Enota fought back Wednesday night when he was approached by two men who tried to rob him.

Lt. Carol Martin with the Gainesville Police Department said one of the men pulled a knife on the victim in the parking lot.

"He demanded his money; the victim at that point kicked the subject and ran off," said Martin. "No money or anything was taken."

Martin said no one was hurt. Extra police surveillance has been assigned to the restaurant for now.
