Strickland qualifies for FBCC election

FLOWERY BRANCH - One person signed up Monday as qualifying opened for the special election to fill a vacancy on the Flowery Branch City Council.

Christopher Strickland is a 10-year resident of Flowery Branch.

The election will be held Sep. 21 to fill the council post left vacant when Craig Lutz resigned earlier this year to seek a seat on the Hall County Commission.

Qualifying ends at 4:30 Friday.
