GAINESVILLE - Two Gainesville men, one of them a teenager, have been arrested and charged in connection with a burglary on Athens Highway near Smallwood Road.

Hall County Sheriff's Colonel Jeff Strickland says one suspect, Travis Charles Bales, 37, is accused of taking electronics from the home and selling the goods at local pawn shops.

"Bales is charged with burglary, theft by receiving, theft by deception and obstruction," said Strickland. He noted that Bales is being held without bond at the Hall County Jail.

Investigators also arrested Justin Ty Reed, 17, of Gainesville for hindering apprehension and obstruction. Reed has been released on $7,500 bond.

Strickland said that most of the stolen property had been recovered and returned to the rightful owner.
