Rabies case #15 for Hall County

GAINESVILLE - Three dogs came into contact with a skunk Monday in north Hall County, and now that skunk has tested positive for rabies.

This latest incident happened August 17 on Green Drive. The skunk was captured and sent to the state public health lab in Decatur. Officials confirmed the positive rabies test Wednesday.

Rabies alert signs will be posted in the area where the skunk was found. This case is the 15th rabies case for Hall County for 2009.
