BUFORD - Three members of a motorcycle club are facing charges after being found with marijuana and firearms during a traffic stop in Buford.

Gwinnett Police Corp. Illana Spellman said the items were discovered when the men's vehicle was stopped Thursday on Interstate 85 for speeding.

"They were on their way to the Annual Biker's Roundup in Hampton, Georgia," she said.

Spellman said the FBI recently issued a bulletin about possible motorcycle gang violence at that event.

The driver, later identified as 36-year-old Ernest Jackson of Pittsburgh, was charged with Theft by Receiving a Stolen Firearm and Speeding. The first passenger, 22-year-old Melvin Bartcher of Pittsburgh was charged with Theft by Receiving a Stolen Firearm and Possession of Marijuana. The second passenger, 33-year-old Vernon Rogers of Pittsburgh, was charged with Theft by Receiving a Stolen Firearm and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Spellman said all three are currently being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center with bond.
