GAINESVILLE - The transportation director for the Hall County School System has not had an easy day.

First, three buses in his fleet were vandalized overnight at Chestatee High School.

"Somebody went in and sprayed fire extinguishers all over about three buses," said Jewell Armour. "All those buses will have to be cleaned before we can drive them."

Then, as his staff was sending a replacement bus to Chestatee to pick up students, Armour got word that two Hall County school buses were involved in a wreck at Atlanta Highway and Memorial Park Road. One of those buses was loaded with children; the other bus was the replacement bus heading to Chestatee High.

"They just made a mistake here at the intersection," said Armour.
